Stephen is a Registered Psychotherapist and a Fellow of the Association for Music and Imagery. He originally trained in England as a psychiatric nurse specialising in child and adolescent mental health before moving to New Zealand in 1989. He was a senior faculty trainer in psychotherapy with the Gestalt Institute of New Zealand for over 20 years. He facilitates a monthly national education Forum for health professionals working with seriously ill children and regularly presents at conferences and training days.

Stephen has been at True Colours since it was established and is inspired by the resiliency he sees in the families he meets.
